Instead, get your regular prescription, print out a $0 co-pay card directly from the Epi-pen site, and go to your pharmacy. I've never had a problem using it. (I have had an issue with my insurance company when I get 2 at a time-- we need one for school-- but I fight them every year.)
*I'm not saying it's not ridiculous, we just have no control over it. AUVI-Q, which was better than Epi-Pen, was killed by a recall. So this is the only option, and they know it.
