In case anyone else thinks that, let me share a teeny part of my story:
I was laid off three years ago last month. Although it wasn't super shocking (I was #26 of what would eventually become about 28 total), it did throw me into a panic.
I am not a fan of 'everything happens for a reason' because I am way too impatient to wait to find out the 'why'. But, I now know that that was a blessing in (a very good) disguise.
It took a LOT of work and courage, but I LOVE my job now and DOUBLE LOVE the people I work with. As I have said a hundred times, working from home is awesome, but it is not easy. It comes with its own challenges.
I do not come from a place of bragging and entitlement AT ALL. I come from a place of hard work, penny-pinching, and thankfulness.
