Recently, I told him how great that was since, sometimes, it's NOT a great time. He doesn't have kids, and he said that despite that (or because of that?), he usually envisions that people with kids constantly have them entangled around their legs, or eating something contraband, or somehow otherwise occupying their attention.
I'm not sure if this is consideration or pity, but since each of those has been a reality in my house at one point or another, I'll take it!
