Alert from a friend regarding RAINBOW LOOM:
"My 22 month old managed to get a hold of a few rainbow loom rubberbands. The box clearly states not intended for children under 3. She put the bands on her wrist. I did not see them bc she was wearing jammies. I put her to bed. She woke uo with a swollen hand and a ligature mark on her wrist. This could have been horrible. She could have lost her hand. These rubberbands are everywhere. Kids drop them in classrooms, skating rinks, sports, after school activities, the library, swim club, hotels, movies, EVERYWHERE. I am sure if you look down now you can find a few bands. People have to be vigillant and scope out the floor for dropped bands. Here is a picture of the damage. It was taken 3 hrs after I removed the band."
I have to say that my boys have been good about keeping the rubber bands together, but still...you find stray ones around. Be safe!
