At least I fit in with the dark hair/light eyes cult.
Everything is better in slushy form. This is excellent!
(not really 3 seconds, more like 3 hours and 3 seconds, but still cool)
Penley says, "Smile! The holiday weekend has begun!"
(BAH! I caught the end of a yawn. He looks crazy!)
As a follow up to our recent fitness week, I wanted to share this advice from Barb's Personal Training. It was completely true for me too, so check it out if you have stomach muscle separation (or even if you don't!):
"After pregnancy, I had about one inch separation of my abdominal muscles, so I completely understand your situation. I strongly suggest to do strengthening exercises that cause you to "clench" your abdominal muscles. For example, doing a plank exercise requires you to hold your abdominal muscles tight - you don't need to move them in any direction to be able to gain strength and toning. Just tightening up your abdominal muscles when you are laying down, standing up, sitting, etc. is another great way to help with separated stomach muscles (i.e., "clenching" like doing kegel exercises). Research shows to stay away from crunches."
I just need to say: I am always willing to help spread the word about a new (or old!) business venture, book, website, connection, whatever. But if you ask me to share something (for free nonetheless), please do not check with me every single day, asking if I have posted it yet. Aside from being annoying, that just shows me that you are not even reading the site that you're asking to be featured on. I'm one email away from refusing to post.
Fellow bloggers/community leaders-- how do you handle this? I know many people won't post without some sort of compensation and, while that's not my style, I'm beginning to see why.
Nothing like the smell of garlic, vinegar, and dill in the morning!
(NOT pregnant, but mmmm, pickles!)
I thought of something good to post, and in the time that it took me to log on, I forgot what it was. So yeah, um, goodnight, I guess.
Axl Jack! What a cool tough name.
BIIIIZZYY week! I'm looking forward to the long weekend, then the structure of school. Even though 'back to school' usually means a busier schedule...
"Mommy what does 'barf' mean?"
"HA! Puke and vomit and barf all mean throw up?"
And that, folks, is our vocab progress for the summer.
With a love of children and a passion for reading and writing, Kelly decided to share her experiences with others through the pages of the Crib Notes book and site.
