I'm so THANKFUL for all of you!
I'm trying to watch the parade like a normal person, and the boys have turned 'Nutcracker' into both Buttcracker and Nutsmacker, and Pippin into Poopin'. And we're only in the first hour of the parade.
Nothing but class here.
At the moment, I'm thankful that I'm the girl. I get to stay home while the boys go out in the cold to get donuts for breakfast (last minute boys' idea)!
I tried my first deep fried turkey, compliments of my sister-in-law's father-- so good!
Dinner and dessert were equally good. Calling it a tie.
It takes a special kind of person to cut herself with a spoon, but I managed to do it :)
I love my family, especially when we keep the drama to a minimum ♥
I am FULL of food and joy.
Thanks, Andy and Melissa for hosting! Great job!
I made a butternut squash dish and a Dutch apple pie. I'm not sure which I am more excited to eat! I love my sweets, but those savory Thanksgiving meals run a close race. What are you most excited for? Or is it the combination that makes it so great?
In case I'm not on tomorrow, or in case you're not on tomorrow, I'll say it now~ I am SO truly thankful for each of you! Never, while I was writing Crib Notes 4 years ago, did I imagine that it would grow into some of the best support (and greatest friendships) I know! Thank you!
_Happy Thanksgiving! I am beyond thankful for all of you. I am continually amazed that you all seek out what I have to say, and so readily participate! I love our discussions, and the things that you teach me, and just love YOU!
Hi, my name's Kelly, and I have...roasterphobia. That's right. I can't make an oven-stuffer-roaster; I'll never host Thanksgiving. I am far from vegetarian, and will gladly eat the cooked turkey, but the thought of actually preparing a turkey-- cleaning, stuffing, carving--ugh, ugh, UGH!
Here's the deal, it reminds me of childbirth. Nothing should be going into or coming out of that cavernous part of the bird. (In case you were wondering, that's my only tie-in to babies and parenting-- the point of this site. The rest is just a personal rant). The picture doesn't help. In fact, it's a pretty good illustration of my point.
Oh, and you're welcome for the fact that I saved this for after your Thanksgiving feast. Did I ruin it for you? If so, let me know and I'll be sure to alert you before I post my issue with eggs...
With a love of children and a passion for reading and writing, Kelly decided to share her experiences with others through the pages of the Crib Notes book and site.
