Attention all STEM teachers- Rube Goldberg machines are not easy fun for the end of the year. They are hard and require bits and pieces large and small to be pulled from all over my house.
I really enjoyed the 36 hours in between having the heat on and having the AC on.
I'm surprisingly emotional about the end of the school year (especially with one moving on to high school ).
It's less about finishing distance learning, and more about the kids who were supposed to have a great year with friends, but ended up alone doing school work on their bedroom floor. But they did it! And now we move on. That goes for all the parents who struggled through too .
(No one better dare comment with anything about school in the fall. We're talking SUMMER here!)
I took [what I thought was] pumpkin puree out of the freezer, only to find it was refried beans when it started to thaw 😬
That's what I get for trying to make pumpkin bread when it's still SUMMER 🤣
I wish I had a dollar for every grilled cheese that was made in my house this summer.
(Not a complaint, just a statement about the sheer volume of sandwiches 😂)
My son just chose the exact number I was thinking of, between 1-25, TWICE IN A ROW so it's safe to say we could use some separation after this summer haha
