I have to admit that I'm always skeptical when it comes to claims by anti-aging or wrinkle-reducing products. BUT-- I have already noticed a difference in the appearance of my undereyes after only a couple weeks of using Paula's Choice Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment!
The instructions say to start slow, so I've only used it maybe a dozen times over 3 weeks, but I can already see improvement. The texture of my skin is smoother, and I expect to seen fine lines lessen with continued use. Darker discoloration is beginning to even out. I have to say, I'm impressed.
I'm so happy to have found Paula's Choice-- thanks to BzzAgent!-- and you can consider me a converted user!
I received sample product as a member of BxxAgent, but all opinions are my own!
I love when I go upstairs at 7:30pm and see my makeup bag still sitting on the counter, untouched since I took it out over 12 hours earlier. Maybe tomorrow, makeup. Maybe tomorrow.
Not sure if it's awesome or sad that sometimes I don't leave my house other than to go to the bus stop.
When I asked about lip stuff (technical term ;)), Aimee from Bare Indulgence answered in a big way. She sent me 3 of her handmade, all natural lip balms! See that pattern in the background? That's the shipping package-- cute touch, right?
She only has a few products up right now, but check them out if you're into all-natural (who isn't?).
Is anyone else a hoarder, er, economical person, and still has one of these...?
Yep, that's a now-vintage 1990s Caboodles!
Ahh, nothing like the smell of plastic and old makeup haha!
But for real, this thing is still in great shape! Aside from some wayward sparkles, and a nailpolish splatter or two, it's in top form!
I was actually looking for cool traincase-type jewelry boxes for my tween nieces at Christmastime, and ended up getting them Caboodles brand ones. I didn't even know they still existed! They were super cute-- patterned and fabric-covered. I thought about updating mine, but decided to stick with my old trusty plastic one.
It still works well, housing makeup I don't use too often and lots of nail polish. And that's where this all started-- the nail polish.
I wear the same half-dozen colors all the time, yet I have toooons!
I'm not sure if Garden Botanika stores still exist, but I am sure that I have not been in one in 15 years. And more sure that this was never a great color. Trash.
I'm fairly certain I only bought this one because it was called Super-charged and my boyfriend/husband at the time had a supercharger on his car...wow. yeah. (I'm not sure what that says about my 17-yr-old self...) I think it made it to my toes maybe once. Trash.
What about 'collections'? How many variations of the same shade does one need?
For darker days we have Vixen, Raven, Raisin, Spiced Plum, Wine...you get the point.
Looking for something lighter? How about Tickled Pink, Ballet Slippers, blah blah blah!
I thinned these out so much that the Caboodles probably isn't even necessary anymore...but you know I am damn well keeping it.
What's your favorite nailpolish? Lately, I have been loving Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear. It's really cheap, has colors that rival Essie, and lasts just as long as anything else I've used.
And seriously, if you still have a Caboodles, tag me in the pic and I'll send you something-- a new nailpolish perhaps ;)
This post is not sponsored by Caboodles or Sally Hansen, although I am more than willing to accept anything they'd like to send me ;)
You did me right recommending L'OCCITANE en Provence - USA, now give me your best recs for under-eye concealer?
