I can see how some people would be disturbed by this, but it's no different than kissing the hand or forehead of a grandparent at a funeral, or holding the hand of your mother, or anyone who passed too soon. I suppose that fact that they documented it with photos is troublesome to the objectors? See for yourself, if you'd like.
