Opinion/advice question:
"I'm having a birthday party held at a sports/arcade type of place. Only inviting the class. All kids and parents we do not know well or at all. A mom asked to bring a sibling and what the cost for that would be. While I don't mind if one kid brings a sibling, it's not fair to others. But part of me thinks well, if she's paying, then it's not a big deal. I don't know how to respond. I like that she at least offered to pay, but I just don't like being put in this situation."
Thoughts? To ME, that's not my style. Juggling schedules is hard, but only the child invited should be there...What do you think?

I got a request to post a question that probably somehow applies to each of us in some way this time of year:

"What do you do when someone buys your child a gift that you didn't want him to have? It's pretty age-appropriate, and I guess there's nothing horrible about it, but it's a little too big for our house and a lot obnoxious. They didn't give a gift receipt of course. Can I ask for a receipt? Or try to return without it? What if they ask how he likes it or they come over and don't see it? Should I just suck it up? Did I just answer my own question? lol"
