To all those chastising other parents for wishing their kids were at school-- Wanting our kids to be in school doesn't mean that we are selfish, it doesn't mean that we don't like to be near our kids, not that we "use" school as a babysitter, it's not that we can't just "suck it up" and play in the snow, it doesn't mean that we don't like relaxed schedules and hot chocolate and excited kids, or that we should never have had kids in the first place (yes, I've seen that more than a couple times).
FOR ME, it's not because I don't want my kids home with me. In fact, it's about WANTING them home with me-- in the Summer! Do you not realize that you're trading one day with them for another day away from them? In the big picture, it all levels out; I would rather have them in school now and home in June!
