I just got SO excited when I remembered my kids have a half day tomorrow (🤫because I don't have to pack lunches🙊).
I'm running practice for the 4th/5th grade basketball team this morning.
Let me tell you a little about why that's funny. I played basketball for 4 years. In that time, I scored 3 points. 1 was a foul shot; not sure how I got fouled, I'm guessing I was just in someone's way. The other was a basket...but it counted for the other team (my coach told me to shoot, and I did!!).
But, watching my kids play sports for the past 8 years has taught me that coaching isn't about know-how, it's about being bossy. And I'm super good at that, so this should be great!
My eye is twitching!!
My eye is twitching and I'm not even cooking Thanksgiving dinner (thanks, mom haha). Short weeks just mean everything gets crammed into 2 days!
All of this.
Any and every other word of agreement.
(Definitely worth the read!)
Good one for the keepers-- and the non-keepers-- to read.
It's not glamorous but it's beautiful.
Good news for all you girls who are of "advanced maternal age" ;)
I don't agree with her solution of inviting everyone to everything. Usually that's not logistically or financially possible. And of course everyone has "best" friends that they prefer to be around, but intentionally and obviously excluding someone is just mean-- especially when it's done by the mothers instead of the kids.
I like back to school shopping so much better in theory than reality.
