Pajama Recall

RECALL NOTICE
(But...I am ALL for safety requirements, but it seems that these are recalled due to sizing requirements and the relation of sizing to flammability. My small 6-yr-old wears size 10 pajamas because the tight-fitting ones are so so so insanely small that his skinny arm doesn't even fit through to the wrist. So, as always, please just exercise caution and common sense.)

Fisher-Price Rock and Play Recall:
[I do not own one, so it's weird that I got this email, but I know that these are very popular, and we have discussed them here before! Sounds like a problem that can be easily solved, but be sure to read:]

Dear Consumer,
This email is being sent to you because our records indicate that you own a Fisher-Price Newborn Rock ’n Play Sleeper™.

Fisher-Price®, in cooperation with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, is voluntarily announcing a recall to inspect Fisher-Price Newborn Rock ’n Play Sleepers™. Mold can develop between the removable seat cushion and the hard plastic frame of the sleeper when it remains wet/moist or is infrequently cleaned.

Mold is not present at the time of purchase, but mold can grow after use of the product. Newborn Rock ’n Play Sleepers™ currently in retail stores are not affected by this recall to inspect.

Since our records indicate that you own one or more of these Newborn Rock ’n Play Sleepers™, we are contacting you directly as a courtesy.

The sleeper is designed for babies up to 25 pounds and is composed of a metal rocking frame and removable, washable fabric cover. The product is sold in various patterns and color palettes

If mold growth is discovered, you can click here for cleaning instructions.

You can also contact Fisher-Price at 1-800-432-5437 Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 AM and 6 PM Eastern Time.

Recalled for the second (at least?) time...

While safety trumps all, let me just say that a little common sense can go a long way. When you follow directions and use things as they are intended (on the floor with supervision, in this case), that pretty much nullifies the chance of your baby wiggling out and falling on his head.
