When you have a gift card to use or lose and Modell's has crap inventory and sad 10% discounts, you end up with a year's worth of candy
My allergy kid has been our 'candy converter' for years haha
What is worse than eating a red candy thinking it's cherry, and instead getting watermelon? 😝
My son just got mad at me for raiding his Halloween candy. Yeah, HALLOWEEN candy. You're approaching 90 days, kid, chill out.
(To be fair, he then willingly shared with me :) )
I stashed a couple pieces of candy aside before I went out with the boys. I come home to find that my husband thought the bowl was getting low and dumped the rest in, and gave it all out!
So now I didn't eat any before tonight, and have none to eat now that the boys are in bed...guess I'll have to steal some of theirs!
By some Halloween miracle, I have not eaten ANY Halloween candy yet. Some years it's calling my name for weeks before!
Did anyone eat it all and have to restock? ;)
A friend wrote to Brach's regarding the new Candy Corn and Peanut combo that I posted about last week.
Here's the response he got (which implies that the candy corn is safe for peanut allergies...eat at your own risk):
Thank you for contacting Ferrara Candy Company regarding Brach's® Corn 'N Nut Mix. Hearing from our consumers better enables us to continue to provide quality products and services. Consumer feedback is very important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond. Ferrara Candy Company takes allergen issues very seriously. Packages must be labeled appropriately for potential allergens. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines suggest labeling for at least the "Big 8" allergies. Brach's® Corn 'N Nut Mix is not intended or those with a peanut allergy. We clearly label the package with "Candy Corn & Peanuts" as well as include the appropriate allergen statement on the back of the package. Please note that the peanuts and Candy Corn are not packaged together in the same plant where the Candy Corn is manufactured. The Candy Corn is shipped in bulk containers to another facility where the Candy Corn and peanuts are mixed and packaged. Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your comments! Sincerely, Mallory Gold Consumer Relations
As an allergy mom, this makes me very nervous. Why, Brach's?
I'm not so much stealing their jellybeans as I am decreasing their tooth decay.
