Planning your meals for a year actually seems counter-productive to me. How do you take advantage of sales? How do you buy in-season produce? How do you know what the hech you'll feel like eating?!
You don't have to plan 365 meals to be efficient in your buying/using food. Just avoid impulse buys, only stock up on foods you're sure you can use (before it expires, and at all), and try not to let things get lost in the depths of the freezer.
I do plan out our meals for the week, but one of them usually changes according to a schedule change, taste preference, etc. It doesn't say if she made 365 different dinners, or just alternated favorites, but either way, it's a little eccessive for my taste. But, one woman's organization is another's clutter...
