Sometimes you read the dimensions of something on line and think, "Yeah, that seems good," then it arrives like whoa.
I've always wanted a window seat or some kind of reading nook, but it didn't really fit in our house. So it was serendipity when I found a little bench that fit perfectly in front of one of the new windows. Usually it's just for decoration, but Sunday morning (note the pajamas), I actually sat there and enjoyed a cup of Mother's Day coffee.
Do you have anything in your house that brings you simple joy?

I feel like part of the obligation of having a new kitchen is to always have fresh baked goods on the counter. (A basket of green apples may hold its place when muffins are not immediately available.)
Who knows anything about antiques? Anyone have a guess about this chair? Or, more specifically, if there's a market for it/how much it'd sell for?
