Yes! This is another instance where the "kids these days" and "when I was your age"'s drive me crazy. It's completely unfair to blame 'lazy kids'.
In the early 80s (and before), you could pay for a full year of tuition at a major university by working about 30 hours a week at minimum wage, for about 12 weeks a summer. 35 years later, the same student would have to work 37 hours a week YEAR 'ROUND to afford the same.
