Last Wednesday- snowstorm.
This Wednesday- windows open!
(It's a little chilly for windows open, but it's 45 degrees warmer than last week, so I'm taking advantage!)
I woke up in a cold house, and re-lit the pilot in the oven. It's basically Little House on the Prairie over here.
(Those things are unrelated; I don't heat my house with the oven.)
"A butterfly! I see a butterfly!...Oh nevermind, it's a half-frozen leaf."
Haha, winter, be gone! We want butterflies!
This is how we stay warm at the bus stop.
(This is actually from a couple years ago, but is that a hood or what?!)
_First snow! The boys were begging to go out at 7am (that was a no). They can't wait to have a snowball fight, make snow angels, and wear 2 pairs of socks, haha! Can't blame them. It's unbelievable that it hasn't snowed yet this season (other than the freak storm Halloween weekend, which was mess snow instead of fun snow).
_My son lost his Batman winter hat (catastrophic loss here, people). It's not on the bus and it's not in his classroom. I had to go by school to drop something off anyway, so I decided to be a nice mom and check the lost and found...HOLY MOUNTAIN OF WINTER COATS, BATMAN! I should be thankful that we lost a $5 hat and not one of the many, many, many very expensive coats that I saw. There were a surprisingly low number of random gloves or hats, but oh so many coats!
