Tell fear to sit the f down.
_Ugh, huge mistake, thinking the Grinch show coming on was the old animated one. One glimpse of that Mike Myers cartoon/human hybrid, and my Little Guy didn't want to sleep in his bed...and can you blame him?
The I’m Not Scared Book is a very kid-friendly look at some of the things that frighten children. But the book moves beyond the most common fears of the dark, animals, and monsters, and confronts some less spoken about fears of unfamiliar situations, and even the intangible feelings of anger and inferiority.
The story, along with the child-like font and illustrations, help to diffuse these fears by providing solutions. It does not dismiss the fears, but rather justifies and calms them.
The I’m Not Scared Book is great for any time of year, but may be very helpful around Halloween time, when scary things are all around!
