I keep seeing posts about Giant Food's 'buy theirs, get ours free' deals, but they do not look like deals AT ALL to me.
"Buy Quaker Chewy Bars (8 pack)(Reg price $3.49), get Own Brands Chewy Bras (10 pack) (Reg price $2.69) FREE"
Who pays $3.49 for a box of Granola bars?! They're $2.29 (non-sale) at Wegmans, which by the way, is less than Giant's generic brand.
"Buy Campbells Chunky Soup (1 can)(Reg price $2.69), get Own Brands Chunky Soup (Reg price $1.79) FREE"
I don't buy canned soup, but that's way overpriced too-- even factoring in the 'free' generic brand.
Aside from hating our local store, I have nothing against Giant, I just have never seen value or savings in shopping there. As with all shopping, be sure to price-check before falling for 'deals'.
