Seems conflicting, but I guess it was an indication that an uncommon, somewhat "new" name, was making its way up the popularity ladder. And so it has; it's #22 for the decade. Not bad for a name that was barely known 4 years ago.
But do I want it to climb? Not really. As one of about 8 Kelly's in my grade, I liked that it was different enough to be unique, but not so different that it was crazy.
My other little guy has an old fashioned name. In fact, he's the fourth generation to share this name. But now, that too is becoming popular! Seems that I am just starting trends all over the place ;)
