I promised to show you the next steps, and why I was ultimately doing this, so here you go:
The cute little Halloween jars are all over Pinterest, not to mention my sister-in-law's house, and I wanted to give it a try.
I grabbed some jars from the recycling bin, some paint that I had from the candlestick project, and my two little happy helpers.
Once they were dry, I used a sharpie to draw faces...
Not so bad for someone who got a B+ in Intro to Drawing...
They're a little streaky, but I think that will give it a cool effect once they're lit from the inside with candles. (I don't have enough tealights to test it right now...we'll snap that picture another day!)
I might wrap the big bottle as a mummy if I can find some quick fabric, but I like how the front is ridged-- kind of already a shortcut to the strips of gauze.
Overall I am so pleased! You have a week till Halloween-- get to it!
