If you’re not familiar with Disney’s Imagination Movers, you should change that. We’ve been fans since they were the between-show, commercial-length act during Playhouse Disney morning programming. We have two CDs that are always requested for even the shortest of roadtrips. A year or so ago they were given their own half-hour morning show. The four guys (who are dangerously close to my own age) solve “Idea Emergencies” using their Imaginations (and lots of humorous trial and error).
But back to the concert— they’re excellent musicians (as was evident through a live show), and they have achieved that amazing formula that some children’s-movie-makers figured out a few years back: they infuse enough adult humor (that's still tasteful and way way over the kids' heads) to keep the dads entertained, and have enough sex appeal (Helloooo, Mover Rich) to keep the moms happy, but I digress… Their back stories are very cool. If nothing else, you should read those.
I’ve suffered through my share of television shows (yeah, my kids watch tv), and even endured a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse live show last year. So, I feel qualified to judge- this was a good show all around. Plus, their moto is “Reach High, Think Big, Work Hard, Have Fun”—how can that be anything but great?!
