Is that realistic? Does that actually happen? Not in my house!
I think this article focuses on the two (uncommon) extremes, and misses the point.
Motherhood IS "an all-encompassing identity with demands and expectations that eclipse everything else in a woman’s life."
There's no reason that work and friendship and relaxation can't or shouldn't be a part of that 'identity'.
